Yvonne is the owner of Essence of Health located in Laguna Beach. She graduated from the University of Alberta with her degree in Nutrition and Food Science. Originally from Calgary, this Canadian brings with her over 22 years in the fitness industry working in both corporate and private arenas. She is very passionate about health and loves sharing that passion with everyone around her.

Yvonne is an accomplished marathon runner having competed in over five marathons with a personal best time of 3:36 and has raced in numerous half marathons and 10k’s across North America. She has participated in several fund raising MS Bike Rides and has cycled from Seattle to San Francisco.

Her experience in the industry has not been without a lot of sweat, and some tears. Having gone through back surgery two years ago, Yvonne is very proactive in customizing programs based on your body, goals, and muscle imbalances.

Yvonne’s expertise has provided her with the opportunity to hold the position of Corporate Wellness Trainer for Arbitech. OC Metro Business Magazine voted Arbitech one of the best places to work in Orange County. For the past five years she has provided nutrition coaching, and continues to lead group classes and private training to their employees.

Yvonne’s complimentary background in fitness AND nutrition enables her to bring the latest phenomenon’s in the industry to her clients, making Essence of Health the most unique studio in Laguna.
